HE Wahidullah Waissi Presents Credentials to the Government of Fiji

His Excellency Wahidullah Waissi presented his creden­tials as a non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Major-General (Ret’d) His Excellency Jioji Konusi Konrote President of Republic of Fiji, at Borron House on 24 April 2018.

Ambassador Waissi presented his creden­tials after inspecting a guard of honour by officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Both HE President and HE Ambassador exchaned views on bilateral affairs and the areas both countries are currently engaged at global level. 

HE Waissi is the second non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Fiji after Mr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha, who has had his presentation of credentials on 20 November 2012. 

The Afghan-Fijian formal diplomatic relationship started since 4 June 2010, when both countries' permanant representatives to the United Nations expressed the willingness to promote mutual cooperation between the two states.
