Afghanistan-Australia reaffirm cooperation in Peace and Security
Afghan National Security Advisor, Dr. Hamdullah Mohib met Australian Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Assistant Secretary S/W Asia, Dr. Lachlan Strahan, in his office in Kabul on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Both sides discussed Afghan peace process, possible cease fire, upcoming election and regional cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations in security. Dr. Strahan also reaffirmed Australia’s support for an intra-Afghan peace process, elections, possible cease fire and assisting ANDSF, as they called them “heroic”. National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib thanked the delegation for Australia’s assistance and recognized their sacrifices in Afghanistan.
