He also appreciated the work of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Canberra for making this initiative.

Ambassador Wahidullah Waissi informed the audiences about market opportunities in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands and encouraged the participants to consider these big markets for export. “There are number of reasons why we need to diversify our transport and transit routes. The new air corridors to India, Middle East and other parts of the world are one of the major commitments towards export promotion, job opportunities and economic growth. The Afghan Government as an enabler institution tries to offer new opportunities for exporting Afghan goods. There are numberr of areas to promote business and trade between Afghanistan and the rest of the world. One of those ways are business between Afghanistan, India and Australia. This three way business extends the business outreach to far distances and provides new market for Afghan Goods. Saffron, carpets, dry fruits, precious stones and luxury goods are the main Afghan exports through air corridors.”
