Foreign Minister Rabbani meets SRAP Williams in Kabul
KABUL – Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani received in his office this afternoon Ms. Penny Williams Deputy Secretary and Australian Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Describing the joint cooperation between Australia and Afghanistan as mutually beneficial, Ms. Williams assured the Afghan Foreign Minister of the continued commitments of Australia for supporting Afghanistan in the security and developmental areas.
Afterwards, Mr. Rabbani thanked Australia for its valuable cooperation with Afghanistan in the fields of security, healthcare and education. He also provided the Australian Deputy Secretary and Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan with information regarding political and security situations as well as about the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
Meanwhile, calling the visits of the high-ranking Afghan and Australian officials from Canberra and Kabul in the current year as effective in strengthening bilateral relations, the two sides put emphasis on the continuation of such visits for expanding the horizon of cooperation between the two countries.
